We are called to do our best and the Lord does the rest!!

Hola!

This week was a really good week! I cant remember much that went bad this week, so that's always a good sign! Our Investigator Jose is progressing really well, and to be honest, He's more of one of our really close friends now. Like, he loves having us over to talk, and chat, and teach him English and the gospel, and its great. I think that's how missionary work should be. Becoming friends with people, and having them WANT you to come over because they like having you there. It's great.
My companion and I have started doing Yoga every morning. Hahah That's a fun new change that's happened. We just decided to try something new, and change things up, and yoga was what we decided. This morning, we actually had another companionship from our same apartment complex join us this morning for some Yoga! Haha it was funny. we couldn't stop laughing.
This week, we went down to the Marine Base again to help out with their LDS sacrament service. And it was great! This guy talked that just returned from his mission in the Philippines, and He said some things that I really liked. He was talking about how on his mission He'd get discouraged because he felt like his calling was to big for him to actually accomplish. I have felt this way a lot on my mission so far, I guess sometimes a feeling of inadequacy follows church calls like this, and He said that he slowly learned that He was just called to do his best, and to give his all. Even if his best wasn't good enough. And when that happens, the Lord does the rest. He also mentioned that "Meekness was never Weakness". I feel like we often confuse the two, just by outward appearance. Meekness is an attribute that the Savior had when He was on the Earth, and We know the Savior was the very opposite of weak. He was, in fact, The strongest and bravest Man that has ever lived. And I believe being Meek played into that. I am so grateful for the Saviors Grace which so often carries me, and helps me. I hope everyone has a good week! I love you all!

A Day Late!!

Hola!

Wow, this week flew by! I didn't get to email yesterday because we got called up early in the morning and they needed our help to move, so we spent almost our entire P-day moving these people. But that's okay. I didn't go on my mission to have P-days haha. The best thing about moving people is that they always give you tons of stuff they don't want! My companion and I got hooked up with a sweet chair and a cool rug, and best of all A Dyson vacuum! We have to fix it up a little, but after that, our apartment will be so clean. Haha.
On Sunday, one of the ladies in our ward asked some of us missionaries if we could help her with an activity in primary and so we agreed. And when we got there she told us that we were going to be playing the parts of some people who helped restore the gospel and we were coming back in time, hahah, so I got to play the Angle Moroni, and my companion played Jose Smith, and it was super funny. We were all dressed up and decked out, and I had a big robe on and a giant trumpet. At the end, after we explained what our roles where in helping restore the gospel. The kids got to ask questions and they asked me, Moroni, what kind of food I ate before I died, and I told them Tamales and Cactus! haha They were all freaking out, and my companion and I were laughing about it for a while.
Also, on Thursday, we took our investigator, Jose (C), to an Addiction Recovery Class at the stake center and he loved it. He's not addicted to anything, but he just likes seeing people change their lives because he used to be addicted to Alcohol. He loved it so much, and he kept saying how good it is to see that even people who go to church still have problems. And he wants to keep coming on Thursday nights. Which is great. He is really our only progressing investigator, so we are loving how much he enjoys stuff like that. And He'll probably be coming to church next Sunday!
Other then all that, life's pretty good. Sometimes Ya gotta learn how to have fun when you work, or else you're just going to be miserable. That's something that I've come to learn this past couple of weeks. I hope everyone has a good week this week!

A great week!!

Hola!

This week went by really fast! I feel like not a lot has changed since I last emailed you. In fact, I just leaned over to my comp and asked him what we did this week... and he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Same things we did last week!" And then we laughed. Haha. But yeah, same stuff. We really focused in on having members at all of our lessons this week. And so we ended up taking Vicente and Robert, (Robert is the Robert that went to the same mission as Brandon Langford), to almost every lesson with us this week. I feel like it has really been helping Vicente by coming out with us. He is being able to feel what it's like being a missionary, and he makes it a lot more fun. He also is getting chances to bare his testimony, and by doing that, his testimony is growing. We ended up doing a split on Wednesday night and Elder Wilson went with Robert to a lesson or two, and I took Vicente to an Institute class because we are trying to get him involved more with the Young Single Adult wards. And He loved it. They were learning about the Saviors last week on earth, and then they talked about the Atonement, and people were baring their testimonies, and the spirit was really strong. I sat by Vicente, and answered any questions that he had about anything he didn't understand. The teacher really involved him in the lesson. Afterwards, he told me how much that lesson meant to him. On our way home, I got a call from the Institute teacher, and He told me how much he appreciated me being there with Vicente, because it created an environment that he could really learn and feel the spirit. He said, "Elder Fuell, Never question why The Lord sent you here to California, because He sent you here to find Vicente." I really love how much I've seen the gospel change Vicente's life. He is a perfect example to me of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. Yesterday at a big Picnic dinner, he told me that he is going to go on a mission as soon as he can. I feel very blessed to have been here, and to have met him. The Lord knows what He is doing with His work.
I hope everyone has a good week this week! Love you!
