Transferred!!

Hola!

Or maybe I should just start saying Hello! I got a call from The Assistants on Friday and they told me to start saying goodbye to everyone in Spanish work, because I'm getting sent to English Work! The whole reason is kind of unclear to me now, but I'm okay with it! I kind of felt like I would be going to English Work soon, but then I got made Zone Leader here and I thought that maybe I'd stay here in San Juan as a Zone Leader for a while, but apparently, our mission is so young,(Meaning that half of the mission has only been out 6 months or less), so they are wanting to spread out the ones who have been here longer! ( I don't know the area or companion who I will be with) I wouldn't have considered myself an experienced missionary, or even that I've been out that long, but I guess the Lord has some people for me to help using my English skills.... which have really gone down the drain. I will miss the Hispanic culture for as long as I am away from it, but the good thing is, is no matter where I go in the mission, there will still be people to speak Spanish too! Southern California is full of Spanish speakers! SO that's good.

This week was great! We had a big leadership meeting in Irvine, and it was great!
Dallin at leadership training.  I guess it was cold in the building and the Mission Presidents Wife, Sister Orgill was a bit cold
President Orgill gave a training, and it pumped me up!!! That day, we did some exchanges with some English Zone leaders for a couple hours, I guess they just do that so that we can get ideas from each other and stuff. Elder Ashton came with me to Spanish work, and it was super cool! He doesn't speak any Spanish, but I taught him enough to greet people on the streets and then I would talk with them and give them a book of Mormon or something! It was awesome! We also taught  a recent convert named Jorge and that was a really good lesson, the spirit was really strong.

On Friday, we were talking as a companionship about how we can improve, and we decided that we needed to follow the spirit better, so we made that our focus for the next couple days, and it was amazing what happened! We had 11 lessons in 2 days. We taught just about everyone we talked to, and got two new investigators out of it! We were led to the people we were really wondering and wanting to know the truth, and it worked great! The blessing that come when we trust in Heavenly Father are great! And the best thing is, is that all we have to do is decide to do it... and then do it! As Neil A. Maxwell once said, "It is first direction, and then velocity!". Anyways, I hope you all have a great week! Love ya!

Another great week in Cali

Newport LDS Temple

Hola!

It was a good week! There was really nothing super eventful! Halloween was fun though! We're not allowed out after 7 o'clock, so we got together with the whole Spanish zone and had a Nacho party and watched a Church movie! It was pretty fun. Missionary work this week was pretty interesting. We ended up dropping all of our investigators except for 2. Which was a big deal. So, now we've been doing a lot of contacting and door knocking, which I don't mind anymore. It can be pretty fun! One thing that I'm pretty excited about is that our ward is getting really excited about Home teaching! Its great! We got a new Bishop not to long ago, and he just reorganized the home teaching companions and families in our ward and there has been some excitement about that. It'll be nice to have the ward visiting each other, we have so many recent converts and new members that we really need it. Everything else is great! My focus this week was being submissive and trying to be diligent, especially when I get tired. But everything's great! Not many changes, but we do have transfers next week. I think I'll be staying in my area for a couple more transfers! Well, I hope you all have a great week! Love ya!

Con amor,

Elder Fuell

What the Brett??

This week was great! I got to go on lots of exchanges this last week! I went on one with Elder Wilson back into mission Viejo, and we had a great day together. We found a family that has real great potential to be baptized! And I learned a lot from him, like I always do! Then I also got to go on an exchange with Elder Corcus!! He trained me a year ago and right now he is serving as the Assistant to the President! As zone leaders, we get to go on an exchange with the assistants once a transfer cycle! And this time it was my turn to go with Elder Corcus in Irvine! He goes home in about 2 months, and it was great to spend a day with him! We saw so many miracles and we seemed to be in the places that we needed to be all day! At one point during the exchange, we were in the mission office because Elder Corcus had to do a report for something and I was just doing some language study. We got a call from a lady that he had taught and baptized about 2 years ago! She asked us if we could find some Elders to go bless her house, because she is moving up to Ontario California and asked us if we could get in touch with them for us! So, Elder Corcus had me call the mission office of that mission and get the number for the missionaries serving in her new ward! I called the Office of the Rancho Cucamunga Mission and got the number for the missionaries, Elder Hewitt and Elder Smith. I didn't think about it to much, but I made the call and started talking to them and giving them the information for the house! Well, it turns out it was The only Elder Smith I knew serving in The California Rancho Cucamunga mission!! Haha it was Brett! The chances of all that happening, just the way that it did was crazy!! It was great to talk with him for a little bit and see how he was doing! It was a really cool experience!
The rest of the week was great too! We have found two awesome potential families in our area and we are very excited to go and start teaching them! I'll have to keep you updated on what happens with them! Also, Happy Halloween!!!

Con amor,

Elder Fuell
